Media Release – Nevada Hospitals Support Wearing Masks and Face Coverings
Hospital association supports Governor Sisolak’s Directive 024
June 24, 2020, Nevada – The Nevada Hospital Association (NHA), in conjunction with other health care partners, supports Governor Steve Sisolak’s Declaration of Emergency Directive 024 for Nevadans and visitors to wear masks and face coverings.
Evidence shows that masks or face coverings are critical in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Nevadans can help protect themselves, their friends, loved ones and fellow Nevadans by wearing a mask or a face covering.
“Wearing face coverings will help limit the spread of the disease and ensure that our state’s hospitals can meet the needs of those who need medical care,” Bill M. Welch, President and CEO of the Nevada Hospital Association, said.
In conjunction with wearing masks or face coverings, social distancing is still important. Maintaining six feet between you and someone else can make a difference. Nevadans can all play a part in staying safe, staying open and saving lives.
